Priscilla Ditzel

Priscilla Ditzel is a birth doula who obtained her training through Childbirth Education for the Christian Family. She serves women and families in the Frederick and surrounding areas, including the DMV area and extending up to some parts of southern Pennsylvania.

 

She is passionate about the liberation and empowerment of women and families with knowledge about physiological birth so that they can make informed decisions, regardless of what they are. She loves serving families in the sacred work of childbirth and helping them experience birth with confidence, autonomy, and dignity through individualized, compassionate care.

Before pursuing birth work, she became licensed in cosmetology and has worked in the hair industry for 16 years. She is a mother, an avid reader and knitter, and educates her children at home full-time. She is active in her church and adores a good cup of coffee.

 

Looking forward, her next steps are to pursue further lactation education because she would love to help mothers breastfeed with peace and success through learning curves. She is passionate about pursuing continued education so that she may share it with others and be as a pilot light, keeping the consecrated flame of motherhood and building up others who carry the same flame.
