About Us
Located in Carroll County, Maryland, Mama Bear Doula Care is a mama-owned agency, and most of our doulas are mamas. This very intimate, unique experience is the heart of what we do.
We provide support to your growing family during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, treating you as we would want to be treated and striving to go the extra mile. Through compassionate support, evidence-based education, and a strong emphasis on informed consent, we empower you to make choices that feel right for you every step of the way.
Our doulas are not just checking a box, but have been called to do this sacred work. We aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you choose prenatal and birth doula care, postpartum care, or sibling support, we go beyond the basics to offer presence, peace, and personalized care during one of your most precious seasons.

Hannah Wright
Hello, I’m Hannah! My passion for birth work stems from my own personal birth experiences as well as the dark time I walked through after my second child was born.
After experiencing a traumatic hospital birth in 2020, I knew that I wanted to make a tangible difference in the lives of expectant mothers and fathers.
Later in 2022, I experienced the beauty of a redeeming home birth surrounded by a loving support team. It was after this positive experience that I felt called to serve as a doula in my community. The prenatal and postpartum periods can be vulnerable and challenging times, and no one should feel alone during this life-changing experience. Whether you work with me or another Mama Bear Doula, I consider it a privilege to walk with you through these times.
