Anna Dermanelian

Hi, I’m Anna, a certified postpartum doula based in Germantown, Maryland. My passion is helping families feel more cared for and supported during the early weeks with a new baby.

Before becoming a doula, much of my life centered around cooking, meal planning, and caring for the day-to-day rhythms of the home. That naturally shaped the way I approach postpartum support now. I tend to notice the small things that can make a big difference when someone is exhausted, whether that’s preparing a warm meal, resetting the kitchen, helping with the baby so parents can rest, or simply helping things feel a little more manageable.

I especially enjoy supporting families through food and practical care. I love cooking from scratch, batch cooking, and helping families keep nourishing meals accessible during a time when even basic daily tasks can feel overwhelming.

My approach is flexible and responsive to what each family needs in the moment. Some days that may look like newborn care and emotional support, while other days it may mean focusing more on meals, household flow, or giving some extra attention to siblings.

I primarily serve families in Montgomery County and nearby areas, including parts of Frederick County and Carroll County.
