Priscilla Ditzel

Priscilla Ditzel is a certified birth and postpartum doula who received her birth doula training through Childbirth Education for the Christian Family and her postpartum doula training through DNT Network. She serves women and families in Frederick and the surrounding areas, including the DMV and extending into parts of southern Pennsylvania.

She is passionate about the liberation and empowerment of women and families through knowledge of physiological birth, equipping them to make informed decisions that align with their values and desires. She loves serving families in the sacred work of childbirth and early motherhood, helping them experience birth and the postpartum season with confidence, autonomy, and dignity through individualized, compassionate care. As a postpartum doula, she provides nurturing support as families navigate the transition into life with a new baby, offering practical, emotional, and educational support during those precious early weeks.

Before pursuing birth work, Priscilla became licensed in cosmetology and spent 16 years working in the hair industry. She is a mother, an avid reader and knitter, and educates her children at home full-time. She is active in her church and adores a good cup of coffee.

Looking ahead, Priscilla hopes to pursue further lactation education because she would love to help mothers approach breastfeeding with greater peace and confidence as they navigate its learning curves. She is passionate about continued education so that she can continually grow in her own knowledge and share what she learns with others. Her hope is to be a pilot light—keeping the consecrated flame of motherhood and helping to build up others who carry that same flame.
