Aliyah Brown
Birth & Postpartum Doula + CNA
My name is Aliyah and I am a full time and dedicated doula/caregiver. I started my career in caregiving in January of 2019, working with geriatric patients in a catholic nursing home. During this time, I developed invaluable skills in teamwork, compassion, and patience. My desire to provide bedside care for mothers and babies led me to the world of doula and birth work.
I then immersed myself in doula research and became certified through Madriella, though initially I faced challenges due to a lack of professional experience. Determined to gain the necessary experience, I worked as a patient care technician at a hospital for NICU graduates and babies in rehabilitation. There, I performed skilled tasks such as caring for babies on feeding tubes, babies on oxygen, babies with drug withdrawal, and providing education under the guidance of nurses. This experience enriched my knowledge and solidified my commitment to my career as a doula.
Despite not having children of my own, I feel a profound responsibility and passion for serving families. I find immense reward in helping to nurture and teach others, particularly mothers, families, and their precious babies. My approach is rooted in patience, love, compassion, and empathy. I live by the motto of going above and beyond, which I apply both in my professional and personal life.
I believe it’s my purpose to nurture and teach others, particularly mothers, families, and their precious babies. I do this solely out of love, compassion, and empathy. My motto is to go above and beyond, professionally and personally. These qualities are instilled in me by my Creator. I have served many, many families and I am hoping to continue doing God’s work.
